Adams County Sheriff’s Deputy Acquitted On Assault Charges

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) – An Adams County sheriff’s deputy seen on video kicking a man who was being arrested outside a bar has been acquitted of assault charges.
A grand jury issued an indictment against deputy Jeffrey Stovall in November 2015 in which the third-degree assault charge stemmed from a May 24 encounter outside Karley’s bar.Surveillance video recorded on the man’s cellphone shows other deputies holding him on the ground as Stovall kicked him.
