Adams 12 seeks new board member after Supreme Court ruling

Adams 12 school district is seeking to fill a contested seat on its board of education after the state Supreme Court ruled the position should be vacant.
The court last week ruled the board's District 4 seat, won in 2013 by candidate Amy Speers, should be empty until the school board appoints a new member. Though Speers earned the most votes, she was ineligible to take the seat because she lived outside District 4.
