6 Homes Evacuated, School Closed Due To Unknown Chemicals

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4)– An elementary school in Thornton remained closed on Tuesday and six homes were evacuated after the discovery of unknown chemicals.
Hazardous materials crews were inside a home near 135th and Fillmore in Thornton after chemicals were discovered inside on Monday, including a small quantity of illegal substances.The discovery forced the early dismissal of Tarver Elementary School on Monday.
