$5,000 Reward Offered By Metro Taxi In Cab Driver Murder

DENVER (CBS4)– Metro Taxi is offering a $5,000 reward in the murder of a cabbie who had taken the job to help with expenses after his wife became disabled.Darren Bloomquist, 49, was shot and killed about 4 a.m. Saturday in Green Valley Ranch.Bloomquist’s cab was discovered by neighbors after it crashed into a parked SUV. Police were called by Metro Taxi to make welfare check of Bloomquist. A policeman arriving on the scene quickly called for the homicide detectives.
