2nd-Grade Teacher Says No Homework This School Year

GODLEY, Texas (AP) — A second-grade teacher in North Texas has adopted a no-homework lesson plan for this school year.
Brandy Young teaches at Godley Elementary School in Godley, 20 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
Young sent a note to parents last week saying she’s trying something new and that any homework would only be items not finished by the student during the school day. Her letter says “There will be no formally assigned homework this year.”
