Report: Walgreens considering bid to buy Frisco's largest private employer

Retail pharmacy chain operator Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. is considering making a bid to acquire Pennsylvania-based wholesale pharmaceutical distributor AmerisourceBergen, according to reports.AmerisourceBergen and Walgreens are already business partners through a $400 billion, 10-year distribution deal first signed in 2013. That agreement, which was later extended, included stock options. Walgreens has exercised its options and currently owns a 26 percent equity stake in AmerisourceBergen.Th
