NTSB: High Speed, Slow Rotor Led To Ellis County Helicopter Crash

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Federal investigations have concluded that vibration caused by high speed and low rotor rotation speed both led to a Bell Helicopter crash that killed two people.
The crash and fire happened during a test flight on July 6, 2016, about 40 miles south of Dallas in an Ellis Cunty field near FM 876 and Bell Ranch Rd. The crew was flight testing a Bell 525 Relentless helicopter. Debris was scattered as much as 1,500 feet away from the crash site. Both
