New highrise hotel planned for Plano's Legacy West

A high-rise hotel to be operated by Tokyo-based Kintetsu Hotel Group will be constructed as part of the redevelopment of J.C. Penney's former headquarters in Plano's booming Legacy area, according to city documents and a published report.The 10-story, 250-room hotel is planned on Legacy Drive in the 1.3 million square foot redevelopment being led by Dallas developer Sam Ware, according to the Dallas Morning News and documents filed with Plano's Planning and Zoning Commission.
