Backpage.com CEO pleads guilty in Texas, California

The chief executive of Dallas-based Backpage.com pleaded guilty to California money-laundering charges on Thursday.Carl Ferrer, who launched the website with James Larkin and Michael Lacey, pledged to cooperate with authorities in prosecuting his partners.The trio has been accused of running an "online brothel." Larkin and Lacey are the former owners of the Village Voice in New York City.
