American Airlines makes two jet purchases valued at more than $1.4B

American Airlines Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAL) purchased 30 aircraft in two separate deals, the airline announced this morning in a regulatory filing.
The combined value of the two deals comes in at more than $1.4 billion, according to the aircraft manufacturers, and represents a substantial investment in American's network of regional carriers throughout the country.
