Worker In Critical Condition After Fall Down Yale Smokestack

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — A worker is in critical condition after falling 40-feet into a smokestack on the campus of Yale University.
New Haven fire officials say the 55-year-old man fell shortly before 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Yale’s Central Power Plant and was stuck for an hour. They say he was on a ladder inside the chimney when he fell.
Crews opened the side of the chimney to get him out.
