Worker Dies After 40-To-50-Foot-Fall Down Yale Smokestack

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — A worker has died after he fell 40-to-50 feet into a smokestack on the Yale University campus.
New Haven Assistant Chief Matthew Marcarelli says the man in his 50s fell off a ladder while working inside the chimney at Yale’s Central Power Plant shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday.
The man’s name has not been released. Fire officials say he was from Oregon and was working to upgrade the plant.
