Sunday Forecast: Hot today, more heat on the way

It looks like we’re in the midst of a heat wave here in Connecticut.
A heat wave is defined as having three consecutive days as highs temperatures reaching 90 or higher.
Expect the hot temperatures to continue Sunday into next week before a weak front moves through the region late in the week with showers and thunderstorms.
High pressure centered over the eastern half of the nation will dominate our weather with plenty of sunshine today through at least Tuesday and possibly into Wednesday
