Study: Male Professors More Likely To Assign Reading Selections By Men
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (CBS Hartford)– Female professors are more likely than male professors to assign female authors, according to a new study.
Brown University researchers evaluated 73 syllabi of international relations courses for doctoral students at universities across the United States. Female professors taught 35 of the courses. The combined syllabus selections included more than 4,000 required readings which could be anything from an article to an entire book.
