Stratford Officer Shoots Suspect

(Stratford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – State police are investigating an officer involved shooting in Stratford.
Stratford police went to a home on Yarwood Street around 5:30 this morning to execute a search warrant.
Police say a suspect, 40-year-old William Rucker of Stratford, approached officers with a weapon that was not a firearm.
Police say Rucker disobeyed orders to drop the weapon and was shot by a Stratford officer.
