State Unemployment Rate At 5.4%

(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – The jobless rate in Connecticut is at its lowest level in seven years.
Numbers today from the state Department of Labor show a gain of 4,100 for the month of July.
That brought the unemployment rate down to 5.4%, a three-tenths of a percent drop from the June figures and one-tenth of a percentage point higher than the national average of 5.3%.
