State Fire Crews Due To Return From California

(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A contingent of firefighters from the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and local departments is due to arrive home later this week after a two week deployment.
They’ve joined tens of thousands of fire personnel from around the country battling the blazes in California and at least a half dozen other states.
Connecticut’s director of forestry, Chris Martin, says it’s something not seen in several years.
