State expected to set aside man’s murder conviction

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) – A Connecticut man who has spent nine years in prison for a 2006 killing his lawyer says he didn’t commit is expected to be freed because prosecutors are now questioning the evidence in the case.
Twenty-five-year-old Bobby Johnson of New Haven is expected to be released following a Friday court hearing.   His lawyer, Kenneth Rosenthal, and the Connecticut Innocence Project have worked to free him for years, saying he was wrongly convicted.
