Sessions Woods trails closed, black bear to be euthanized after encounter with woman

BURLINGTON–The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has shut down a hiking trail after a woman encountered some bears.
The trails at Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington will be shut down due to the bold behavior of a black bear that followed and approached the female hiker Friday afternoon.
The male bear is about 1 1/2 years old and weighs about 150 pounds. It approached the woman and circled her before touching her leg with his mouth, as you can see in
