Rig Goes Off Highway Embankment

(Fairfield, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A tractor trailer truck driver is in the hospital after his rig went down an embankment on Interstate 95 early this morning.
The call came in just before quarter to six on the northbound side of the highway.
Fire officials say the truck landed on Meadow Street behind the Fitness Edge.
The driver was trapped in the cab portion of the truck by responsive.
He was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center for treatment.
