Possible Explosive Unearthed In Vernon

(Vernon, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Vernon police say a device a construction crew thought was a possible blasting cap which was buried underground turned out not to be.
The find was made around 11:00 this morning while workers were digging in the area of South Street and Knollwood Drive.
Police say it turned out the “device” was actually a rock that had a hole drilled in it that contained some wires.
