Plane Off Runway At Sikorsky Airport

(Stratford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A plane skidded off a runway this afternoon upon take off at Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford.
A spokesman for the city of Bridgeport which owns the airport says the aircraft spun out into the grass.
The pilot was the only one on board and was not injured.
The airport was closed for a brief time in order to get the plane off the runway.
There’s no word yet on what caused the mishap.
