Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck Near Hiking Trails

SHELTON, Conn. (AP) — Police say a Connecticut man was killed after being struck by a car near an entrance to hiking trails in Shelton.
The Shelton Police Department said Tuesday that 48-year-old Ronald Richard, of Shelton, was struck Friday by a car being driven by Christopher Goldspink, of Shelton. Police responding to the scene found Richard lying in the roadway near Shelton Avenue. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police say Goldspink was driving south on Meadow Street
