One Killed in Crash After Trying To Evade Police

(Fairfield, Conn./CBS Connecticut)– One person is dead after a car crashed into woods off the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield Monday night.
It happened around 11:25 P.M. southbound at the exit 46 off-ramp. The driver was reportedly trying to evade police after hitting an off-duty trooper’s personal car in Stratford earlier in the evening.
Trumbull police discovered the car after it had crashed.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
