One Dead After Tree Falls On Truck In Columbia

(CBS Connecticut) — A tree fell on a truck in Columbia Thursday afternoon, as windy weather caused power outages and downed tree limbs around the state.It happened on Route 6 near Oakwood Lane  shortly after 2:30
40 year old James Marcelynas of Wethersfield was pronounced dead at the scene.
Earlier in the day, two people were sent to the hospital after a tree fell on a van on the Wilbur Cross Parkway near the Derby-Orange town line.
