Off-duty officer saves 81-year-old woman from drowning

GREENWICH — A police officer was awarded “Officer of the Month” after saving an 81-year-old swimmer in distress.
Officer Sean J. Welsh was off duty at Todd’s Point Beach with his family on August 9th.  Welsh saw a woman start to pull a swimmer out of the water and ran over to provide assistance.
After Welsh pulled the swimmer out of the water, he noticed that she had no pulse and was not breathing. Welsh administered CPR in assistance of on-duty lifeguards. EMTs then
