New Haven Man Gets 33 Years In Girlfriend’s Beating Death

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – A Connecticut man who beat his girlfriend to death while apparently under the influence of angel dust has been sentenced to 33 years in prison.
The New Haven Register reports that 39-year-old Frank Moore pleaded guilty to a murder charge rather than risk a longer sentence if convicted at trial.
Authorities say Moore beat 31-year-old Georgette Alston in the apartment they shared in June 2013.
