Murder suspect in California cold case from 2000 captured in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT — A man suspected in 16-year-old murder-kidnapping case in California was captured Thursday morning after a making a stolen vehicle report that revealed his whereabouts to authorities. Officers from the Bridgeport, Hartford, and Los Angeles police departments along with members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force captured Samuel Calvario, 46, who was wanted for a murder that happened in Los Angeles in 2000.
