Meriden Man Arrested ,Dog Shot

(MERIDEN,Conn./CBS Connecticut)  – A dog is dead and a man is in custody after Meriden Police responded to  40 Runge Drive    at about 5:30 pm  Thursday  after   the man  allegedly threatened  his ex-wife with a firearm.Officers new they were  looking to take  35 year old Jamie Hess into custody.
As  officers attempted  to take Hess into custody on the front porch of  the home, he began resisting  officers
