Man Sentenced In Oxycodone Scheme

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ A New Haven man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for his role in a scheme to distribute oxycodone obtained through fraudulent prescriptions.The U.S. attorney’s office says 37-year-old Julian Cintron was sentenced Monday in Hartford.The Drug Enforcement Administration began investigating a drug trafficking organization in 2012 suspected of manufacturing fraudulent prescriptions and distributing oxycodone in the New Haven area.
