Man killed in Waterbury bicycle accident

WATERBURY – A man was killed in an accident between a car and a bicycle Tuesday morning.
Police said they were called to intersection of Cooke Street and Chase Avenue at 5:15 a.m. for a vehicle that hit a bicyclist.   They found a man in the street with a serious head injury.
The victim was taken to Waterbury Hospital and was pronounced dead about a half hour later. Police have not identified the man.
Police are investigating the accident.
