Man Expected To Survive After Being Shot By Police

(CBS Connecticut) — A Stratford Police officer shot a man about 5:30 this morning.
Officers were carrying out a search warrant at an address on Yarwood Street.
Police say William Rucker approached officers carrying some sort of weapon other than a gun.
Officers ordered him to stop, but they say he failed to follow their instructions.
One officer opened fire, shooting the 41-year-old Stratford man.  Rucker is expected to survive.
