Man Charged In Assault On Bristol Police

(Bristol, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A Bristol man is due in court Monday on charges he assaulted two police officers.
Police say it started with a report Friday night of a suspicious vehicle in Page Park.
When an officer located the vehicle, the person inside, identified as 45-year-old Thomas Birdsell, punched that officer about the head and face.
A second officer on scene deployed his taser, to no avail.
