John Young, ex-astronaut who walked on moon and commanded 1st shuttle flight, dies
WASHINGTON, DC — Former astronaut John Young, a NASA trailblazer whose six journeys into space included a walk on the moon and commanding the first space shuttle flight, died Friday after complications from pneumonia, NASA said Saturday. He was 87.
