Heavy rainfall closes swimming areas in Fairfield

Heavy rainfall over the last few days has closed multiple swimming areas in Fairfield on the Fourth of July. According to Fairfield Parks and Recreation, all swimming areas are closed on Tuesday. The beaches remain open. The splash pad at the lake is also open. Lake Mohegan is expected to be closed on Wednesday.
