Gas leak prompts home evacuations in Vernon

VERNON – Residents are being evacuated in a residential area due to a gas leak. Police said emergency crews are on the scene of a gas leak near 79 Spring St. They said nearby homes are being evacuated and the road is closed. Check back for details as they develop.
