Former Professor Charged With Sexual Assault

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) _ A former Central Connecticut State University professor has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a student.Daniel Gula was accused last year of the assault. New Britain police arrested him Wednesday on charges of sexual assault, unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct.
Gula was arrested this week because the victim decided to pursue charges when he resigned rather than be fired, leaving open the possibility he could be hired elsewhere. Fox CT reports that t
