Firearms Hunting Season Dates Announced

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) – Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is announcing dates for the state’s upcoming fall firearms hunting season.
The turkey season is scheduled to open on Oct. 3 and continue through Oct. 31, while the regular waterfowl season opens statewide on Oct. 7.
Small game hunting season opens at 7 a.m. on Oct. 17 for pheasant, quail, ruffed grouse, chukar partridge and cottontail rabbit.
Meanwhile, the statewide firearms deer hunting sea
