Drought emergency declared in 4 Fairfield County towns

HARTFORD — The Department of Public Health declared a public water supply emergency for four Fairfield County towns served by Aquarion Water Company. The towns affected are Greenwich, Stamford, Darien and New Canaan. Water issues are also affecting several towns in nearby Westchester County, NY, who are also served by Aquarion: Rye, Ryebrook and Port Chester.
