Driver survives as car surfs mudflow down California road

BURBANK, Calif.  — A driver fleeing a Southern California flood rode a wave of muddy water down a twisting road in his car and says he's lucky to be alive.
Desionne Franklin says he was afraid it was all over as the Prius careened down Country Club Drive in the Burbank foothills Tuesday.
Video shows the car sweeping down and around a curve on the rapid, rocky, muddy cascade.
Franklin says his girlfriend was screaming and he lost all control of the car for 30 seconds as it slewed down
