‘Don’t Block The Box’ Campaign Ramps Up
HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – In an effort to ease traffic gridlock on city streets in Hartford, police will start fining motorists who stop halfway through an intersection and block crossing traffic.
Officials held a press conference in Downtown Hartford Thursday to announce the “don’t block the box” campaign. Grid patterns have been painted in many of the city’s busiest intersections to help with enforcement.
