DMV stops taking walk-ins at 2 p.m. due to high volume

WETHERSFIELD – Because of a high volume of customers, the Department of Motor Vehicles will stop taking walk-ins at 2 p.m. Friday.
The DMV said if customers arrive before 2 p.m., they will be served. All other appointments at DMV will be honored until the close of business at 4:30 p.m.  including previously scheduled driver license tests and hearings.
There has been heavy customer traffic since Tuesday when the department reopened after a week-long closure while computer systems
