DMV Shuts Down Walk-In Service
WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut’s Department of Motor Vehicles says it is shutting down its walk-in service because of long lines of customers since a new computer system was installed.
The DMV planned to begin turning away customers at 2 p.m. Friday, citing the high volume of customers and a desire “to get staff out at a reasonable time.”
In a release, the department says its employees have been working until about 10:30 p.m. for the past three days to meet demand
