DEEP: Bear Took A Swipe At Simsbury Woman

SIMSBURY, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – A bear took a swipe at a Simsbury woman walking her dog Wednesday at Town Forest Park.
The woman suffered scratches to the back side of her upper legs, said the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The 41-year-old woman was on a trail with her black Labrador Retriever on a leash just before 2 p.m., when she came around a corner and encountered the bear, said authorities.
