Danbury schools to adopt Sandy Hook anti-violence programs

DANBURY — Danbury schools are introducing new anti-violence programs developed by the Sandy Hook Promise organization.The News-Times reports one initiative beginning this coming week is “Say Something.” It teaches students to recognize warning signs that peers may be about to hurt themselves or others, and to tell a trusted adult. Coming later is, “Start with Hello.” It teaches students how to reach out to isolated peers.
