CT Pumpkin Season Off And Running

(South Windsor, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Pumpkins are big business in Connecticut.
And the season is in full swing with the harvest expected to continue through the end of next month.
At South Windsor’s Dzen Farm, there was some concern due to the drought.
Co-owner Joe Dzen says they were busier than normal with irrigation to make up for the lack of rain.
But he says they’ve ended up with a robust crop of different pumpkin varieties to ship to stores and roadside stands.
