Competency hearing set for suspect in Yale doctor killing

NEW HAVEN — A Connecticut judge will be hearing from psychiatrists on whether a former doctor charged with killing a Yale University physician is competent to stand trial.
Forty-nine-year-old Lishan Wang was ruled incompetent in April, but his doctors at the time believed he could be restored to competency with treatment. The doctors are set to give an update Monday to a New Haven Superior Court judge.
