Ask the Attorney: Emotional distress

Ask the Atty,I was involved in an accident last year in which my fiancé was killed.My physical injuries from the accident were minor but I have never been able to recover emotionally.I am active in therapy and group counseling but still can’t function at work and am financially troubled!Is there a possibility of me having a case for emotional distress?
