Arrest In Fatal Waterbury Hit-And-Run

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC) – Waterbury police have made an arrest in connection with a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian earlier this month.
Milton Gooch, 80, was arrested Wednesday on charges of evading responsibility and illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under suspension, said police.
The crash, December 12 in the area of 936 Cooke Street, claimed the life of 75-year-old Geraldine Lapio.
Gooch was arraigned Wednesday in Waterbury Superior Court.
