Algae Closes Swimming Areas
(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has closed two swimming areas in Connecticut.
DEEP says Indian Well State Park in Shelton and Kettletown State Park in Southbury are off limits to bathers until further notice.
A blue-green algae has turned up in the water at both parks.
There’s no word water tests or when the parks will reopen to swimming.
